Mesm Tokyo, where art meets luxury, is one of the city’s most stylish hotels. As soon as we entered the grand lobby we were swept away by the captivating city views, impeccable service, and abundance of art and charm. We loved the sophisticated setting complete with piano bar and inviting lounge spaces for guests to relax and enjoy the view.

Our sprawling guest room was perfect for a family of four with a two sumptuous queen beds, a modern and indulgent bathtub and a private balcony with views of the Tokyo Skytree. Each room has artistic touches from the storybook display where amenities are kept to a working piano keyboard with iPad instructions which teach you how to play. We loved having a drip coffee machine and matcha whisk kit and the stylish details ensured we had a five star stay.

Dining experiences are a must at mesm, from the varied and impressive breakfast to the unique and delectable afternoon tea inspired by Da Vinci’s Last Supper. We highly recommend dinner at Chef's Theatre where we had one of the most unique menu’s during our stay in Tokyo. The incredible array of dishes inspired by Romeo & Juliet is the ideal romantic night out. Mesm is ideally located to explore all Tokyo has to offer. The water bus on the hotel’s front step takes you on a scenic ride to Asakusa and we were only within short walking distance to an array of local eats, historic parks and shrines, and the iconic Tokyo Tower. An amazing choice for families, couples, or business travellers looking for modern luxury and style alongside world class service and guestrooms.

Chef's Theatre

Experience an unforgettable romantic dinner at Chef’s Theatre and indulge in a creative and enthralling Romeo & Juliet inspired tasting menu. The sophisticated open dining establishment boasts cozy booths, intimate tables, and spectacular floor to ceiling windows showcasing Tokyo’s glittering views. The inspired menu is beautifully presented and expertly paired with a tantalising wine pairing.

We loved starting with a crisp glass of sparkling wine before delighting in the delicate Salmon with Red Bell Pepper Sauce. We loved the fragrant and dramatic Fish with Crustacean Sauce and couldn’t get enough of the rich and tender Beef with Black Garlic. Romeo & Juliet’s soundtrack played throughout our meal and each dish artistically resembled a scene from the tragic love story. A must for foodies and discerning diners visiting Tokyo or those who want to impress on date night.

Note: We were given a complimentary stay at this resort. Our family had an unforgettable stay at the idyllic and picturesque Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort. The luxurious five star resort brings all the world class service and amenities of the favoured brand to paradise ensuring we had the best service, facilities, and experience on one of the most beautiful locations in the Maldives. Our modern and sleek overwater suite was a huge highlight of our stay. The sprawling space boasted a sumptuous master bed overlooking the turquoise Indian Ocean, a gigantic bathroom and bathtub with a view, and even a separate lounge which was easily converted to a bedroom for our two children. The spacious outdoor deck leaves plenty of room to dine and unwind. We spent mornings relaxing on the overwater nets and plenty of time swimming in the refreshing private infinity pool.

Note: We were given a complimentary stay at this resort. Centara Grand Island Resort Maldives is a true paradise for families looking for that unforgettable ocean getaway. As soon as we set foot on the scenic jetty we knew we had found a unique property. The sparkling clear turquoise waters were impressive, even by Maldives standards, and the welcoming team made us feel instantly at home. We stayed in the Two Bedroom Beach Villa with Private Pool which incorporated separate rooms and bathrooms for the children and parents as well as a comfortable lounge area, large outdoor deck, and refreshing pool. We were set right in the sand with spectacular views and just steps to the crystal clear ocean. The water was calm and inviting, suitable for young swimmers and great for families to enjoy together.

Hideaway Beach Resort, located in the picturesque Haa Alifu Atoll, is an idyllic five star destination perfect for those seeking luxury world class accomdation, decadent gourmet dining, and unparalleled facilities sure to please the discerning traveller. From the moment we set foot on the jetty we were were greeted by the warmest welcome and were in awe of the pristine crystal clear water. The long white sand island is easy to traverse by bicycle or buggy and boasts a variety of villas to suit families, couples or groups. We loved the picturesque overwater villa boasting modern stylish decor, a grand bathroom with a view, and a spacious outdoor deck. The highlight was the stunning infinity pool and being just steps into the sparkling Indian Ocean. We also highly recommend the Family Beach Villa for those travelling with multiple children and the incredible Sultan Residence complete with a private waterslide for those travelling with a large group.

Note: We were given a complimentary stay at this resort. Centara Ceysands, located in Sri Lanka’s popular Bentota Beach, is the ideal spot for a fun and relaxing family getaway. Located between Bentota River and the Indian Ocean you get the best of both worlds with tranquil river views and idyllic sandy shores. We boarded a short and picturesque boat ride over the river to access the beautiful resort and were instantly greeted with a traditional performance alongside their welcoming and incredible team. We loved the touches of Sri Lankan culture that welcomed our family giving us an amazing first experience in the stunning country. Our Family Suite was spacious and comfortable, perfect for those travelling with young children. Our children were excited about the bunk beds and we enjoyed pool and sunset views from two private balconies.

Sri Sharavi, located near to the popular Mirissa Beach, was the ideal tranquil getaway for our family. We were warmly welcomed by the personable staff and shown around our stunning Ocean Signature Suite upon arrival. We couldn’t believe the stylish and luxurious design, spacious lounge area, and stunning outdoor terrace overlooking serene ocean views. Guests can relax in the oversized canopy bed, unwind in the sumptuous lounge area, and wake to quiet ocean views.

Paradise Found at Club Med Kani Maldives

Note: We were given a complimentary stay at this resort. If you’re looking for the ultimate all-inclusive family holiday in paradise it’s hard to beat Club Med Kani. It was our second time at the resort and was even better than we remembered. The all inclusive resort is just a short speedboat ride from the international airport. As soon as we set foot on the jetty we were awed by the pristine clear waters and abundant marine life, friendly and welcoming ambiance, and plethora of activities for all ages. Our family of four shared two comfortable and modern beach villas which were spacious and had direct access to the stunning white sand beach. We made full use of the chic indoor and outdoor areas and loved walking through the sand to the resort’s main pool and all day dining restaurant.

Note: We were given a complimentary stay at this hotel. During this trip to the Maldives we were excited to dedicate a few days to exploring an inhabited island. Luau Beach Inn is located on picturesque Fulidhoo Island. Fringed by sweeping palms and crystal clear waters, the small island is an idyllic paradise. As we stepped off the speedboat onto the jetty, our host Linda greeted us with a warm hello and welcome to their beautiful island. We saw stingrays and nurse sharks leisurely swimming along the shores while we walked the short distance to the entrance.

There’s plenty to do at the resort from snorkelling along the reef to stand up paddle boarding and kayaking, or indulging in a luxurious day at the spa. Families can treat themselves and their children to massages and chocolate facials or drop their kids off at the fun filled interactive Kids Club. We loved that there was a variety of indoor and outdoor activities for little ones. Our children learned how to climb a coconut tree, watched a magician perform right on the beach, and made plenty of friends throughout the process.
