As soon as we set foot in the welcoming property we were greeted by friendly staff and found a plethora of information about the surrounding area. The guest rooms at OMO are modern, sleek and comfortable with plush beds, a state of the art rainfall shower and the hotel offers 24/7 assistance at the front desk.

The best part about staying at OMO is their commitment to ensuring each and every guest has the best experience possible while immersing in the local scene and culture. We met one of their OMO Rangers during our stay who gave us daily presentations on local must eat spots and traditions to ensure we see the best of the city. The lobby has a GO-KINJO interactive map which links to your phone via QR code and assists in finding Sapporo’s best dining spots, unique bars and bakeries, and must see sights. Each and every recommendation is tried and tested by the OMO staff to ensure the best in quality. OMO Rangers also guide an evening walk through the neighbourhood where they’ll introduce you to the unforgettable foodie experiences you won’t easily find in a guide book or through your own research. Not only do they give you history and hidden gems but can assist in hard to obtain reservations for all their guests.

The OMO food & drink station adjacent to the lobby offers a wide variety of Hokkaido based snacks and beverages and we loved the selection of locally made sandwiches and onigiri available each morning for breakfast. Social spaces are scattered throughout the first floor where you can socialise, ask for tips, and plan your daily schedule with the help of the OMO staff. Whether you’re looking for a culinary adventure, the best ski days nearby, or a perfect daily travel itinerary during your stay you’ll find it with OMO’s amazing team. A perfect choice for the world traveller and those who want to see a side of Sapporo off the beaten path.

Note: We were given a complimentary stay at this resort. Our family had an unforgettable stay at the idyllic and picturesque Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort. The luxurious five star resort brings all the world class service and amenities of the favoured brand to paradise ensuring we had the best service, facilities, and experience on one of the most beautiful locations in the Maldives. Our modern and sleek overwater suite was a huge highlight of our stay. The sprawling space boasted a sumptuous master bed overlooking the turquoise Indian Ocean, a gigantic bathroom and bathtub with a view, and even a separate lounge which was easily converted to a bedroom for our two children. The spacious outdoor deck leaves plenty of room to dine and unwind. We spent mornings relaxing on the overwater nets and plenty of time swimming in the refreshing private infinity pool.

Note: We were given a complimentary stay at this resort. Centara Grand Island Resort Maldives is a true paradise for families looking for that unforgettable ocean getaway. As soon as we set foot on the scenic jetty we knew we had found a unique property. The sparkling clear turquoise waters were impressive, even by Maldives standards, and the welcoming team made us feel instantly at home. We stayed in the Two Bedroom Beach Villa with Private Pool which incorporated separate rooms and bathrooms for the children and parents as well as a comfortable lounge area, large outdoor deck, and refreshing pool. We were set right in the sand with spectacular views and just steps to the crystal clear ocean. The water was calm and inviting, suitable for young swimmers and great for families to enjoy together.

Hideaway Beach Resort, located in the picturesque Haa Alifu Atoll, is an idyllic five star destination perfect for those seeking luxury world class accomdation, decadent gourmet dining, and unparalleled facilities sure to please the discerning traveller. From the moment we set foot on the jetty we were were greeted by the warmest welcome and were in awe of the pristine crystal clear water. The long white sand island is easy to traverse by bicycle or buggy and boasts a variety of villas to suit families, couples or groups. We loved the picturesque overwater villa boasting modern stylish decor, a grand bathroom with a view, and a spacious outdoor deck. The highlight was the stunning infinity pool and being just steps into the sparkling Indian Ocean. We also highly recommend the Family Beach Villa for those travelling with multiple children and the incredible Sultan Residence complete with a private waterslide for those travelling with a large group.

Located between Bentota River and the Indian Ocean you get the best of both worlds with tranquil river views and idyllic sandy shores. We boarded a short and picturesque boat ride over the river to access the beautiful resort and were instantly greeted with a traditional performance alongside their welcoming and incredible team. We loved the touches of Sri Lankan culture that welcomed our family giving us an amazing first experience in the stunning country. Our Family Suite was spacious and comfortable, perfect for those travelling with young children. Our children were excited about the bunk beds and we enjoyed pool and sunset views from two private balconies.

Sri Sharavi, located near to the popular Mirissa Beach, was the ideal tranquil getaway for our family. We were warmly welcomed by the personable staff and shown around our stunning Ocean Signature Suite upon arrival. We couldn’t believe the stylish and luxurious design, spacious lounge area, and stunning outdoor terrace overlooking serene ocean views. Guests can relax in the oversized canopy bed, unwind in the sumptuous lounge area, and wake to quiet ocean views.

Paradise Found at Club Med Kani Maldives

Note: We were given a complimentary stay at this resort. If you’re looking for the ultimate all-inclusive family holiday in paradise it’s hard to beat Club Med Kani. It was our second time at the resort and was even better than we remembered. The all inclusive resort is just a short speedboat ride from the international airport. As soon as we set foot on the jetty we were awed by the pristine clear waters and abundant marine life, friendly and welcoming ambiance, and plethora of activities for all ages. Our family of four shared two comfortable and modern beach villas which were spacious and had direct access to the stunning white sand beach. We made full use of the chic indoor and outdoor areas and loved walking through the sand to the resort’s main pool and all day dining restaurant.

Note: We were given a complimentary stay at this hotel. During this trip to the Maldives we were excited to dedicate a few days to exploring an inhabited island. Luau Beach Inn is located on picturesque Fulidhoo Island. Fringed by sweeping palms and crystal clear waters, the small island is an idyllic paradise. As we stepped off the speedboat onto the jetty, our host Linda greeted us with a warm hello and welcome to their beautiful island. We saw stingrays and nurse sharks leisurely swimming along the shores while we walked the short distance to the entrance.

The five star resort is just a short boat ride from the international airport and offers an abundance of five star facilities for all ages. Guests can choose from spacious beach bungalows just step from the crystal turquoise ocean or the romantic overwater villas complete with private plunge pool. There’s plenty to do at the resort from snorkelling along the reef to stand up paddle boarding and kayaking, or indulging in a luxurious day at the spa. Families can treat themselves and their children to massages and chocolate facials or drop their kids off at the fun filled interactive Kids Club. We loved that there was a variety of indoor and outdoor activities for little ones. Our children learned how to climb a coconut tree, watched a magician perform right on the beach, and made plenty of friends throughout the process.

Guests have access to four swimming pools, a state of the art fitness centre, world class gym, and direct access to the beachfront.
