We loved our connecting rooms featuring luxury details and plenty of space for a families. During our stay at Higashiyama we sampled the mouthwatering tasting menu at Yukibana. The intimate and sophisticated dining room is perfect for date night or a celebratory dinner and the friendly staff are quick to assist with any questions or dietary requirements regarding the menu. The menu featured high quality ingredients freshly sourced from Hokkaido and was expertly prepared with both Japanese and Western techniques. Highlights included the delicate and juicy Funka Bay Scallop with Cheese Risotto, decadent Sautéed Foie Gras with Vanilla Flavoured Sweet Potato, and melt in your mouth Josper Grilled Furano Wagyu Sirloin. They also offer a unique wine pairing or order a bottle of sake for a Japanese touch. A must dine spot for foodies visiting the Niseko area.

Note: We were given a complimentary stay at this resort. Our family had an unforgettable stay at the idyllic and picturesque Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort. The luxurious five star resort brings all the world class service and amenities of the favoured brand to paradise ensuring we had the best service, facilities, and experience on one of the most beautiful locations in the Maldives. Our modern and sleek overwater suite was a huge highlight of our stay. The sprawling space boasted a sumptuous master bed overlooking the turquoise Indian Ocean, a gigantic bathroom and bathtub with a view, and even a separate lounge which was easily converted to a bedroom for our two children. The spacious outdoor deck leaves plenty of room to dine and unwind. We spent mornings relaxing on the overwater nets and plenty of time swimming in the refreshing private infinity pool.

As soon as we set foot on the scenic jetty we knew we had found a unique property. The sparkling clear turquoise waters were impressive, even by Maldives standards, and the welcoming team made us feel instantly at home. We stayed in the Two Bedroom Beach Villa with Private Pool which incorporated separate rooms and bathrooms for the children and parents as well as a comfortable lounge area, large outdoor deck, and refreshing pool. We were set right in the sand with spectacular views and just steps to the crystal clear ocean. The water was calm and inviting, suitable for young swimmers and great for families to enjoy together.

We also highly recommend the Family Beach Villa for those travelling with multiple children and the incredible Sultan Residence complete with a private waterslide for those travelling with a large group.

We boarded a short and picturesque boat ride over the river to access the beautiful resort and were instantly greeted with a traditional performance alongside their welcoming and incredible team. We loved the touches of Sri Lankan culture that welcomed our family giving us an amazing first experience in the stunning country. Our Family Suite was spacious and comfortable, perfect for those travelling with young children. Our children were excited about the bunk beds and we enjoyed pool and sunset views from two private balconies.

Note: We were given a complimentary stay at this resort. If you’re looking for the ultimate all-inclusive family holiday in paradise it’s hard to beat Club Med Kani. It was our second time at the resort and was even better than we remembered. The all inclusive resort is just a short speedboat ride from the international airport. As soon as we set foot on the jetty we were awed by the pristine clear waters and abundant marine life, friendly and welcoming ambiance, and plethora of activities for all ages. Our family of four shared two comfortable and modern beach villas which were spacious and had direct access to the stunning white sand beach. We made full use of the chic indoor and outdoor areas and loved walking through the sand to the resort’s main pool and all day dining restaurant.

Luau Beach Inn is located on picturesque Fulidhoo Island. Fringed by sweeping palms and crystal clear waters, the small island is an idyllic paradise. As we stepped off the speedboat onto the jetty, our host Linda greeted us with a warm hello and welcome to their beautiful island. We saw stingrays and nurse sharks leisurely swimming along the shores while we walked the short distance to the entrance.

We loved that there was a variety of indoor and outdoor activities for little ones. Our children learned how to climb a coconut tree, watched a magician perform right on the beach, and made plenty of friends throughout the process.
