Our dining experiences at Fairmont Maldives

The Maldives boasts some of the freshest seafood around so you can’t miss a meal at Fairmont’s mouthwatering Japanese restaurant, Kata. The stunning venue is set overwater allowing for ocean views and a relaxing, breezy ambiance. We booked a private sushi making class with their friendly chef and it was one of the kids’ favourite experiences throughout our stay. Not only are you treated to the freshest fish but their in house chef will help you create and plate personalised maki and rolls that you can later make at home. It’s easy enough for even younger children and a great bonding activity for all.

After our class we sampled our creations as well as a few dishes off the menu for lunch. You can’t miss their decadent sashimi and sushi platter, fragrant and crisp soft shell crab tempura, and the homemade mocha ice cream is the ideal finish and a huge hit with the whole family. A great dining experience and activity during your stay at beautiful Fairmont Maldives.

If you’re a seafood lover there’s no better place to dine than Azure while at Fairmont Maldives. The mouthwatering dining destination features a large lobster tank at the entrance and serves one of the best seafood platters we’ve tasted. All the ingredients are caught fresh from the resort’s vibrant reef and you can taste the quality in every bite. We loved starting with the delicate and flavourful Octopus Carpaccio, and loved the perfectly grilled lobsters and fresh tuna. They have plenty of options for children as well and an amazing wine list to pair with your meal. A must visit spot if you’re looking for an impressive and unforgettable meal during your stay at Fairmont.

Raha Market

Raha Market is Fairmont Maldives’ mouthwatering all day dining destination. The spectacular beachfront restaurant is an idyllic spot to enjoy leisurely breakfasts, casual lunches, and gourmet dinners throughout your stay. We loved the varied options that changed daily and the live stations where your food is prepared to order. Highlights were the crepes and pancakes with your toppings of choice  and the healthy avocado toast station each morning, the juicy grilled fish and meat station at lunch, the wide array of salads, and the indulgent spread of desserts. Pair your meal with a crisp glass of wine or a fresh fruit juice and take in the views and island ambiance while you enjoy dining during your holiday.
