Delve into mouthwatering Thai fare at the stylish and inviting Ross Kitchen located in Akara Bangkok. This was our go to spot for breakfast each morning while staying at the stylish hotel. We loved the colonial style decor and traditional Thai fare bursting with local flavour. Breakfasts were a luxurious and leisurely affair with made to order dishes, piping hot tea and coffee, and a beautiful setting to relax and take our time.
We also visited the venue for dinner one evening and were thoroughly impressed with the vibrant and flavourful Thai menu. The seafood was fresh and delicious and the staff introduced us to several signature dishes which were unique and irresistible.
Recommended dishes included the Crab Meat Curry with Coconut Milk, Curry Paste, Wild Betal Leaf Bush, Bean Sprouts, Bean String and Rice Vermicelli, the "I-Saan Duck Confit Larb" using Slow Cooked Duck Leg, Duck Liver, Mushroom, Roasted Rice, Ground Chilli, Lime, Spring Onion, Shallot, Coriander and Truffle Oil, and the Signature Mango Sticky Rice with Sweet Sticky Rice, Ripe Mango, Butterfly Flower Coconut Sauce and White Sesame.
If you're craving afternoon tea stop by for their indulgent set where you can choose to dine poolside or at one of the romantic tables. Make sure to book ahead as the small intimate venue gets busy fast and head upstairs after your meal to check out their modern rooftop bar. A tranquil and inviting oasis with great food and ambiance at one of our preferred hotels in Bangkok.
