Double Ikat restaurant, located in Renaissance Bali Uluwatu, offers local Indonesian fare served in a modern and stylish setting. We headed towards Double Ikat on a quiet evening while we were staying at the hotel and were instantly drawn to the stylish interiors and enticing menu. We loved the elevated take on traditional Balinese fare perfect for enjoying the local cuisine while in the comfort of a five star hotel.
As soon as we were seated the staff introduced us to the creative cocktail menu and made several delicious suggestions for us to sample. We ordered a variety of dishes from the menu and were blown away by the plethora of spice, flavour, and impressive presentation. We highly suggest you share the dishes family style and pair everything with a tropical cocktail or glass of wine.
Favourites from the Small Bites section included the "Lamb Martabak" Crispy roti filled with savoury lamb mince and tamarind dressing, the "Ayam Pelalah" Spicy shredded chicken salad with tomato sambals, the "Sambal Be Tongkol" Grilled yellow fin tuna with shallot and lemongrass salsa, and the "Tahu Gejrot" Fried tofu, shallot, chili, palm sugar and tamarind dressing.
For your main course we recommend the "Bebek Goreng Lengkaus" Crispy fried duck with spicy morning glory salad and sambal terasi, the "Ikan Bakar Jimbaran" Soy glazed grilled baby red snapper “Jimbaran” style, the "Babi Guling" Whole roasted suckling pig with Balinese spices, and the "Udang Bakar Uluwatu" Sambal marinated grilled prawn.
