Petani, set at the front of beautiful Alaya Resort Ubud, is a stylish, buzzing spot to enjoy a delicious lunch, coffee or dinner during your stay in the Ubud area. We loved the rustic meets elegant design and their tempting menu featuring regional cuisine with modern twists. The cozy couches and open air space was a relaxing spot for meeting friends for coffee and cake and we loved how the venue transformed in the evenings into a lively and inviting dining destination. The live music created a fun and enjoyable setting and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Make sure to try a few of their irresistible cocktails, the Espresso Martinis being our favourite.

Recommendations from the appetizer menu include the "Beetroot Carpaccio" Sous Vide Beetroot Carpaccio seasoned with Balsamic Gastrique, Parmesan Powder and Mesclun Salad, the Grilled King Prawn Salad with Basa Gede Creme Fraiche and Croutons, and the Fried Calamari "Kenus Garing" with Balinese Spices and Mayo.

For main courses we loved the BBQ Pork Ribs with Butter Poached Vegetables and Mashed Potato, the Australian Seared Lamb Rack Confit in Rendang Oil served with Eggplant Caviar, Turning Potato and Beetroot Puree, and the "Crispy Duck Petani" with two kinds of Sambals, Steamed Rice and Long Bean with Coconut Lawar. For dessert try their Classic Baked Alasaka served with Lemon Curd, Dry Fruit Compote and Lime Sorbet.

A great spot in Ubud for date night dinner or for a few drinks at the bar to enjoy the lively atmosphere.
