Motel Mexicola is our reliable go to spot when we are craving a lively fun night out. The large and bright venue oozes character and colour from the moment you step in the entrance. Every time we visit with friends it takes several minutes to make our way to the table as we are too busy snapping photos alongside the stylish and bright Mexican inspired decor. Motel Mexicola is part resturant, part bar, and part nightclub making it a great venue if you're out with friends while in the Seminyak area.
We love the Tex-Mex menu of which our favourites include "Esquites" white grilled corn cup with chipotle mayonnaise, cheese, sour cream and tajin, "Snapper Ceviche" limed cured red snapper with coconut, avocado, green chilli, cucumber and palm hearts, "Taco Baja" Tempura Fish, White Cabbage, Pico De Gallo and Salsa Gobernador, "Atun Tostada" Sashimi Grade Tuna with Ginger Soy, Chipotle Mayo, Avocado and Sesame Seeds, "Perro Caliente" Mexican Beef Hot Dog with Sour Cream, Salsa Roja and Onions and the "Carnitas de Pato" slow roasted duck with picked white onions, roasted duck sauce and jalapeño served with tortillas. Make sure to finish with their classic "Churros" Mexican Doughnuts with Caramel Sauce, Chocolate Sauce and Cinnamon Sugar.
The highlight is always the strong margaritas and lively vibe that has you staying until the early hours. The staff and crowd have a great way of creating a night to remember. If you're in search of an iconic night out in Bali this is always a place we recocomend.
