Sangkar restaurant, located in the luxurious Bulgari Resort Bali, presents the perfect balance of intimate dining with rustic, authentic decor for a true gastronomic experience where the chef has created a menu of culinary delights which elevate traditional Balinese cuisine. Perched above Uluwatu we enjoyed the cliffside views and couldn't believe the charming and decadent venue. Our timing was perfect, arriving at sunset so we grabbed a drink at the bar to enjoy the views before heading to the main dining room for a true culinary feast.
We always love Balinese flavours and authentic dishes but Sangkar takes these techniques to another level. Each course was expertly crafted and created using only the best ingredients alongside Balinese spices and recipes. The presentation impressed us every time and we truly enjoyed every bite.
Favorite dishes from our visit included the Mixed Seafood Satay with Balinese Eggplant and Sambal, the Grilled Pork Ribs with Star Fruit Greens, Sweet Chili Sauce and Steamed Cassava Rice and the Whole Lobster in Balinese Marinade with Baby Vegetables and Turmeric served with Chilled Lobster Medallion with Watercress and Mizuna Salad and a Lobster Scallop Lime Salsa. Finish your meal with their Almond Bean Curd, Palm Seed Jelly and Red Bean Ice Cream Dessert and make sure to sample a few of their creative handcrafted cocktails or a bottle of wine from the fine selection to pair with your meal.
