Houston Texans News: Tyrod Taylor Named The Starting QB Against The Jacksonville Jaguars For Week 1

The Houston Texans have named Tyrod Taylor as their starting Quarterback for their Week 1 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. With Deshaun Watson still facing off-field issues, the Texans are looking to the 10th year veteran to lead the offense. Taylor only has 47 starts since he was drafted to the NFL in 2011 so it will be interesting to see how he does against a young Jaguars defense. Taylor last played in 2020 for the Los Angeles Chargers and suffered a rather bizarre injury after having his lung punctured by a team doctor before Week 2.
