Things to do in Calico Ghost Town. Calico, California Family Travel Vlog.

In this family travel vlog we are taking you to Calico Ghost Town. Founded in 1881, Calico California was a booming silver mining town. It was abandoned in the 1890's, but Walter Knott (from Knott's Berry Farm) purchased the land in the 1950's. He restored almost all the original buildings before donating the property back to the county. Now, Calico is a historical landmark and open to public to enjoy the attractions, restaurants, shops, campsite and more. In this vlog you will see the mysteries of the Mystery Shack, go down deep into Maggie's Mine and take in the views of Calico on the Calico Odessa Railroad train ride.
