DETROIT, MI - The iconic Book Tower is set to become home to ROOST Apartment Hotel, as recently announced by Bedrock. Currently undergoing a major restoration, The Book Tower will provide 118 studio, one, and two-bedroom ROOST extended stay apartments spread across four levels.
The ROOST brand is well-known for combining the concept of a boutique hotel with an apartment setting, featuring modern appliances in a beautifully designed space, equipped with modern furniture, antiques, other personalized elements. ROOST Book Tower will be run by Method Co., a Philadelphia-based hospitality company, providing the short-term housing demands of individuals coming to the city seeking opportunities in various industries.
“We will offer the opportunity to experience living in a historic building with all the amenities, luxuries, and services of modern living,” said CEO and Co-Founder of Method Co. Randall Cook.
ROOST Book Tower is only one part of the entire Book Tower development project. The project will add 229 residential units (managed separately from ROOST), 85,000 square feet of office and commercial space, two restaurants, a bar and lounge in the lobby A hotel, a bakery, and a pastry shop, as well as a rooftop event space with panoramic city views.
The restoration of the 486,760 square-foot Book Tower, acquired by Bedrock in 2015, is one of the most important historic rehabilitation projects ever done in Detroit.
