Civil War Sword Found Buried near battle.

We uncovered this blade that is believed to be part of a sword from the Civil War. Experts later examined it and believe it to actually predate the civil war and suspect it was taken into battle by a confederate soldier. It was found near a known confederate cannon position and fired union cannon projectiles have also been found here along with other supporting relics in other videos. Unfortunately, the tang (part going to the handle) was broken off as well as a section going to the tip of the sword. Could part have been grown into a nearby tree? The search will continue for the rest of this sword. The experts were able to rule it out being a machete, mower blade, etc due to its construction and grove down the blade used in swords. Also the lack of any holes commonly used to attach other types of blades.
