Will the Skynyrd Plane Crash Investigation be reopened? (Part II)

During the original Lynyrd Skynyrd airplane crash investigation it was noted that every part of the instrument panel was recovered and all part other than the items completely obliterated, however over 40 years later a team of investigator returned looking for items missed during the original investigation for clues about what had happened near the anniversary of the plane crash on October 20, 1977. They are the only team to have been granted permission by the land owner, who actively prosecutes trespassers on the site and monitors it with remote cameras. All of the items recovered were not wanted by the NTSB as it had officially closed the investigation but the History Seekers Team have displayed them to the public at no charge and are attempting to find a museum to display them free to the public with the agreement that the items can never be sold. The History Seekers Team is made up of retired and current law enforcement officers, accomplished researchers, and historians.

Our team is focused on making History fun for all ages. We cover various topics from metal detecting for historical relics, genealogy, and even exploring the outdoors in search of lost history. We take you along for the adventure all over the United States and plan to expand world wide in the future. You could be standing on a relic buried a few inches under the surface right now that could change history and never realize it. Our goal is to show you those items and contribute to the human story that makes up History.
