Neither his tyrannical boss nor the pandemic will stop Emily Cooper! After the first season's success, Netflix already orders the continuation of Emily's adventures in Paris within the Savoir agency. Despite criticism from the French public and communications professionals, Darren Star's program was ranked number 1 the week of its launch. On November 11th, the news came down: Emily in Paris will have a second season. Here's what we can expect from this already highly anticipated sequel. We will have to wait until the end of 2021 to follow her new adventures in Paris.
An unchanged cast
One thing is sure: we will, of course, find Lily Collins and Ashley Park, the duo of foreign best friends trying to make their place in the French capital. Lucas Bravo, alias Gabriel, and his girlfriend/ex Camille, played by Camille Razat, will obviously be there. And at Savoir, we are obviously expecting the return of Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu and William Abadie in the roles of the irascible boss Sylvie and the perfumer and seducer Antoine. Finally, Bruno Gallery and Samuel Arnolds (Luc and Julien) have not left their agency positions.
New challenges for Emily in Paris
If Darren Star and Netflix's teams remain very discreet about the plot of season 2 of Emily in Paris, we can already say that it promises to be spicy. The streaming platform has unveiled a video of the cast - confined - toasting to the second season on social networks. This spot is accompanied by a fictitious letter from Sylvie Grateau addressed to Madeline Wheeler, Emily's American boss who stayed in Chicago. The boss of Savoir indicates that Emily must extend her stay in Paris because she is beginning to integrate into it. No doubt that this coming season will include new challenges for the Savoir agency. But what really interests the fans of Emily in Paris is obviously the development of the relationship between Emily and her neighbor Gabriel. Freshly separated from Camille, the young chef decided to stay in Paris after spending the night with the American at the end of the first season. Season 2 already promises to be full of surprises. If some rumors announcing the beginning of the shooting hover on the web, it will probably be necessary to wait at least until next autumn to know the outcome of Emily's love and adventures in Paris.
