According to the Sacramento Bee and MSN.com, a record number of California residents are relocating to Florida.
A Closer Look
New data from the Census Bureau documents that more Californians moved to Florida in 2022 than in any previous year dating back to 2005.
Consequently, Florida has become the third most popular domestic destination for those leaving California, behind Texas and Arizona. Conversely, approximately 28,000 Floridians moved to California.
The last few years, particularly this year of 2023, have seen the closure of countless business operations; a sad development, indicative of the pandemic residue, and the subsequent increasing economic challenges around the country and throughout the world.
The resident relocation interchange between California and Florida reflects to some degree one way Americans are seeking to somehow more productively balance their economic status.
