I grew up in the inner city of Rochester, near Brown Square, and I fondly recall many visits to the Daw Drugstore (a.k.a. "Daw's Drugstore") locations in the Bulls Head area, and on Lylle Avenue. Whether seeking to pick up a prescription for the common cold-like ills of family members, or at Christmas for a last-minute bottle of perfume gift, Daw Drugs was the go-to, "comfort-zone" spot.
