(Parker, Colo.) The Parker Police Department investigation into a local photographer has resulted in five felony theft charges, according to the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
Suzanne Nevill, owner of Suzanne Nevill Photography, is scheduled to appear in court on April 17, where she will be informed of the five counts of felony theft in the amount of between $2,000-$5,000. According to the Parker Police Department, the investigation into Nevill’s alleged thefts began in 2021 following several complaints.
According to court documents, Nevill charged clients over $2,000 for photoshoots but failed to provide photos in return. She also failed to provide refunds to the victims. The most recent theft charge was reported to have occurred between Jan. 28 and Feb. 3, 2022.
Police issued a felony summons rather than an arrest warrant. Nevill is free on her recognizance until her appearance, there is no warrant for her arrest and she is not in custody.
According to court records, Nevill’s business also faces a civil suit from Liquidibee LLC., a private capital company. Nevill and her business are listed as defendants in a municipal citation filed in Douglas County Court.
Her business is also not accredited by the Better Business Bureau. Instead, she has an “F” rating with numerous customer reviews calling Nevill a scammer, unorganized and unreliable, but “very responsive” in collecting money.
“Scam artist,” wrote Jennifer H. in a one-star review. “I have no photos and want my money back.
Many reviewers noted articles and videos by Denver news stations with other customers who were dissatisfied with the services, lack of services, or lack of refund. Several reviews from the past 2-3 years note Nevill claimed to have COVID-19 the day before important shoot dates, like weddings.
