The Dinosaurs are coming! The Dinosaurs are coming! From June 18 through July 4th. The DTE Energy Music Theater parking lot has been transformed into an interactive drive-thru experience, featuring over 70 moving and roaring dinosaurs. This is an excellent activity for the family for you to enjoy. On those hot sunny days coming up, take a ride in your car and enjoy viewing and listening to the dinosaurs in the comfort of your air-conditioning car.

The exhibit is similar to the Christmas drive-thru event that DTE had in December. It will take you approximately one hour to drive through the Jurassic Quest Drive-Thru and see all of the dinosaurs, including the 50ft long Megalodon. The drive-thru experience means that you’ll be staying safe inside your vehicle; however, you’ll still need to watch out for the swinging tail of the 80ft long Spinosaurus. The dinosaurs will be moving, making sounds, and the textures make the dinosaurs look authentic.

Kids will be able to go on a quest with the online audio tour that will take you throughout the exhibit, where you will encounter some of the enormous dinosaurs ever to roam the earth and some of the eeriest marine creatures ever to lurk the ocean’s depths. There are three different quest packages for you to order:

  • Explorer Pack - includes three dinosaur surprises
  • Tracker Pack - includes three dinosaur surprises plus crafts and activities to do at home
  • Trainer Pack - includes six dinosaur surprises plus crafts and activities to do at home

Due to the uniqueness of gifts in the packs, each kid should get their own pack.
