If you have ever tried to book a Disney vacation it can get a little unwieldy. If you try to book it with only 3 weeks notice, it’s a challenge. But with Jennifer Arnold, a travel planner and independent contractor with Storybook World Travel, this is where pixie dust and magic meet.

Being a total Disney planning newbie, I had no idea that to plan a vacation to the happiest place on earth you really need to plan it about six to nine months ahead of time. After a week of trying to find the best place to stay and book tickets, I found Jennifer Arnold who helped my family have the best Disney experience on short notice. Next time (and yes there will definitely be a next time) I will be better prepared and contact Jennifer well ahead of time.

“I like sharing my knowledge to help people and not charging a fee.” —Jennifer Arnold, Travel Agent

First, did you know that Disney planning services with Earmarked agencies are free? That’s right, FREE. I was skeptical at first, but sure enough, Jennifer helped us plan our vacation and booked our rooms without charging us an extra fee for her services. It made the process stress free and simple so that we could focus on having fun and creating memories. She helped us find the right resort for our budget which included early entrance and after hours at the parks.

By answering a few questions, she was able to help me plan our week so that we could get the most out of our magical experience. She provided dining suggestions and a guide to the rides and experiences that suited our family at each park and fit our budget. Responsive and with a great attention to detail, Jennifer was able to plan a trip that had a little something for all of us, from my mom who prefers the leisurely rides like It’s a Small World to my teenager who loves the fast roller coasters and for all of us in between.
Jennifer Arnold is a local travel expert based in Gaithersburg who specializes in planning destination trips to Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani Disney (Hawaii), Adventures By Disney, Universal Studios, Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Tampa Bay, and SeaWorld Orlando. She offers FREE travel booking and planning services for couples, families, and multi-generational groups.

She is a graduate of the College of the Disney Knowledge, a Universal Orlando Resort Specialist, and a SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment Specialist. To remain in good standing with each of the organizations she must complete annual training and tests to renew her certification. Over the last two years the parks have had to charge their admittance procedures to fit the health guidelines of the times. Jennifer was up to date with all the changes and helped us have a wonderful time that was seamless and magical.

As a Florida native she is well acquainted with the parks in Orlando. Before becoming a travel agent, she owned a photography business. But on the side, she enjoyed planning trips for her friends and family. But lucky for us, after 14 years of photography, she set traded in her camera for a little pixie dust and magic. For the last five years, Jennifer has been an official travel agent with Storybook World Travel helping others discover magical vacations and create memories that will last a lifetime. It’s clear when speaking with her that she has a passion for helping others experience the same kind of magic and joy when traveling.

“Travel business is a joy.”—Jennifer Arnold, Travel Agent with Storybook World Travel

It doesn’t matter if it is your first time or your 15th visiting any of the parks. There are so many little unique experiences that Jennifer can help you find. It might be a showing of Sleepy Hollow on Halloween,or a behind the scenes tour to learn about the history of the trains in Disney World, or checking out the jazz club in a resort. Whatever it might be, Jennifer can help you find something new and unique to add to your experience.

Jennifer is a woman owned, small business independent contractor for Storybook World Travel which is an EARmarked Authorized Disney Travel Agency and a UPreferred Universal Travel Agency. Jennifer’s 3 best tips for planning your vacation

Find an agent who knows the destination

Find an agent that knows the destination and passionate about what they do, not just book knowledge and trainings but actually has first hand experience visiting the destination. It's best to find an agent that can help not only a first time visitor but a destination veteran. This way they have a wide array of experiences and can best assist with your personal vacation.

That's why I specialize in what I love! I make a point to always explore new opportunities when visiting the destinations to help my clients with unique opportunities that they might not have previously known about. Examples are the jazz club we visited on our past trip and that we stayed at a new resort. In fact, I've stayed at over half the resorts at Walt Disney World, Disneyland and Universal Orlando at least once. I also try different rooms types from standard rooms to suites and even club level rooms.

Plan 6-9 months ahead of time

Start talking with an agent 6-9 months before your trip. If you're considering a holiday, closer to 9-12 months is the best.

Stay on property whenever possible

Stay on-property whenever possible. This allows you to me immersed in the magic plus saves tons of precious time and allows you to easily return to your resort mid day should you need a break.

What better way to celebrate Women’s History Month than by supporting a locally owned, woman-owned small business? Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to some pixie dust and magic with Jennifer Arnold!
