In 1810 Crown Prince Ludwig I invited the public to celebrate his marriage to Princess Therese, and ever since, we have observed and enjoyed Oktoberfest.

If you are in Maryland, celebrate good beer and cheer at the world’s largest beer fest at any of these locations. Please enjoy responsibly!

Guinness Open Gate Brewery

September 23 to September 26

September 30 to October 3

Guinness will celebrate Oktoberfest over two long weekends by brewing five unique German-style beers, including three limited-batch can releases. There will also be exclusive Open Gate Brewery steins with discounted refills. In addition, Guinness will feature German-inspired food specials. Heidi Und Heimat Echo will perform on Friday, September 4 and October 1, 4:30pm to 8:30pm, and on Saturday, September 25 and October 2, 11am to 8pm. Edelweiss will perform on Sunday, September 26, and October 3, 11am to 4pm.

Frederick's Oktoberfest

Friday, October 1, 6pm to 10pm, is an age 21+ event

Saturday, October 2, 11am to 10pm, family friendly

Frederick’s annual Oktoberfest is hosted and organized by the Rotary Club of Carroll Creek and the Rotary Club of Southern Frederick County to raise money for the local community and nonprofits.

Friday, October 1st, will kick off the festivities with an opening ceremony and a keg tapping. Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the gate. Participants will find great food, a wide selection of beers, and live music by The Dan McGuire Band.

Saturday’s event is family-friendly. It will feature German cuisine and a selection of seasonal beers, live music, a kids’ zone, a German heritage tent, and you can even watch football games in the sports tent. Tickets for those aged 21 and over are $10 in advance or $12 at the gate. For those aged 3 to 20 years old, tickets are $5.


Rockville Town Center

Saturday, October 2, 2021, 11am to 5pm

Beer, food, music—Rocktobierfest

Rockville will host Rocktobier fest in the Rockville Town Center. Expect to see three stages of entertainment, including German, rock, and children’s music. Then, try the beverages on sale by local breweries, eat the food, and check out the artisan shopping center.  

Oktoberfest at the Kentlands

Sunday October 10, 12pm to 5pm

The Kentlands in Gaithersburg will host its 29th annual Oktoberfest on Sunday, October 10, 12pm to 5pm. The Kentlands will host multiple stages filled with live entertainment featuring traditional Bavarian music and dancing. In addition, to live entertainment, there will be fall-themed family activities, a Business Expo, artisans, beer, mead, and cider. The admission is free with a free shuttle and parking for the public.

BIER IST WUNDERBAR!...and so are you! At Baltimore's oldest running craft beer festival--the theme is OOMPAH OOMPAH OOMPAH!! --Das Best Oktoberfest

Join the M&T Stadium Lots festivities where Das Best Oktoberfest will feature over 100 international, domestic, and local Maryland Beers, domestic wines, and schnapps. Das Best Oktoberfest provides two experiences: VIP Ticket experience for $75 and general admission for $39.  

The VIP ticket experience (12pm to 6pm) includes two extra hours of drinking, a reduced crowd, two sliders or sausages from Wurst Schloss, and a larger 14-ounce stein for all you care to taste beers, wines, and spirits. There will also be specialty VIP beer tastings, VIP washrooms, a swag bag, and live entertainment. 

General admission (2pm to 6pm) includes a souvenir tasting glass, unlimited all you care to taste beer sampling, and live entertainment.
