There are so many ways to treat that special mama in your life. Often, mamas take time for everyone else in their family but are too busy to pause and take time for themselves. Mother’s Day is only one day a year, but you can treat your favorite mother all year long.

Montgomery County has some wonderful opportunities to pamper that beautiful woman in your life.

I’m a runner and one of my favorite Mother’s Day gifts is to be able to go out for a long run by myself. If I can do that with a new pair of running shoes, even better.

Fleet Feet in Gaithersburg had a recent reopening in the Kentlands. I love supporting small businesses and I have been going to Fleet Feet for the last 10 years to get fitted for shoes as my feet have changed from pregnancy. They give you personalized suggestions for your specific feet and running gait. They have not steered me wrong, yet. They will even special order my shoes for me if they do not have them in stock. And while I’m at it, I buy some t-shirts to show my MoCo pride.

Treat your favorite female runner to a Women’s Night at Fleet Feet Gaithersburg on Tuesday, April 27th. They will provide drinks and hors d’oeuvres while she’s shopping. It’s time for her to find some new spring apparel, sports bras, or meet with a fit specialist to find the right shoes for her.

The festivities start at 6pm. Tell her to invite a friend and enjoy some pampering to get her ready for her next run.

The Woodhouse Day Spa has two locations in Montgomery County, one in Gaithersburg and the other in North Bethesda. I went to the Gaithersburg location and enjoyed a Therapeutic Stone Massage. It was perfect and just what I needed. As a busy mom and runner, there’s nothing like being pampered. The North Bethesda location is offering a “Mom’s Retreat package that includes an 80-minute Therapeutic Stone Massage with an 80-minute Skin Repair and Firming Facial. This sounds divine and perfect after a year in pandemic isolation.

“Give mom an “ahhhh-inspiring” gift this Mother’s Day. The Mom’s Retreat” package includes an 80-minute Therapeutic Stone Massage Could with an 80-minute Skin Repair and Firming Facial that is sure to leave mom saying, “ahhhh.”—Woodhouse Day Spa

Woodhouse Day Spa also provides Sleep Treatments. This would be a wonderful treat for that new mama who probably hasn’t gotten a full night’s sleep since her baby was born.

One of the best-kept secrets in Montgomery County is Hair Razors in Damascus. The shop is tucked away behind a new Starbucks off of Ridge Road in Damascus. The owner, Julina Salazar, is a bubbly stylist with an infectious laugh. She and her team of stylists make every single client feel like they are the most important person in their chair. Julina the Hair Razors stylists make each of one of us feel special and beautiful.

Treat your mama to a cut, color, and style by one of the wonderful stylists in this hidden gem. The chairs are extra comfy as you get your hair washed and styled. Go for a sassy look with a pop of fun color. I love this local salon. The atmosphere is one of community and family. It’s one of my favorite places to go in Montgomery County and I always feel extra pampered when I go for a cut and color. I love supporting this woman-owned local business.

When I went to Julina for my “big” haircut before chemo treatments, she donated my hair for someone else to benefit. I love her big heart and her generous spirit.

Check out the Hair Razor instagram page to get a peek at the beautiful work they do.

Where else do you like to go to be pampered? Drop me a comment! I’d love to know!
