2. George Clooney - The UK
George Clooney, the Oscar-winning actor and political activist, lives in the UK with his wife, international human rights attorney Amal Alamuddin. The couple has owned Villa Oleandra, their home on picturesque Lake Como in Italy, since 2001, but they also wanted a base in the UK.
In 2014, they bought a sprawling manor house on the River Thames, where they are currently raising their twins, Ella and Alexander. In an interview with Parade, Ford spoke about the appeal of his life in Wyoming, where he can indulge in simple pleasures like flying, hiking, biking, and working on his property. Ford's decision to leave Hollywood behind was a conscious one, motivated by his desire to spend time with his family and to enjoy the freedom that comes with a life away from the entertainment industry. When asked about his decision, he said, “I’m old news. I’ve been there for 35 years.”
Despite his move to Wyoming, Ford hasn't completely left the movie business, but he enjoys the peace and tranquillity of his ranch far away from the spotlight.
4. Rachel McAdams - Canada
Rachel McAdams, the eldest of three children, grew up in the town of St. Thomas in Ontario, Canada.
While most movie stars settle in Los Angeles, McAdams finds living in Canada the best fit for her lifestyle. She owns a two-story house in Toronto's Annex neighbourhood and returns there after every project. In addition, it allows her to make career choices that are more aligned with her interests rather than being swept up by the industry.
McAdams' daily life in Toronto is relaxed, and she often bikes around the city, visiting areas like the Annex and Kensington Market. She has also been spotted at Byblos, an Eastern Mediterranean restaurant, and Cafe Belong, where she enjoys a cup of tea on cosy fall days.
