As per Small Business Association, a Total of 105,000 restaurants received grants from Restaurant Revitalization Fund. Out of them, 2000 were nearby Seattle and 1000 in Seattle.
The main objective of the funds is to help to recover the pandemic-driven losses of the restaurants.
It is a total $28.6 billion fund, which is considered a small purse. The priority is to the businesses owned by women, veterans, and socially and economically disadvantaged individuals who face racial or ethnic prejudice or cultural bias. It gave a loss to white male applicants.
The restaurants in Seattle received a maximum payout of $10million, which is not sufficient for the restaurants like Tom Douglas Seatown restaurants, Schwartz Brothers, Thirteen coins, Elwood Investments LLC. The women who own Pink Door and Lish received maximum grants in Washington.
