Is it possible to have too many burger restaurants in one city? If you say yes, you might want to skip this article, as it’s not for you. However, if you’re constantly on the lookout for the perfectly crafted burger, by all means, continue, as there’s a new burger (cheeseburger, to be exact) restaurant opening this coming Monday in Tucson. So, whether you want to be first in line, or are happy with having a new location to visit on date night, the new cheeseburger hot spot will be up and running in a matter of days.
If you’ve spent any time around metro Phoenix over the last several years there’s a good chance you’ve happened upon Cold Beer & Cheeseburgers before. The restaurant, which opened its first location in Scottsdale, even has carved a nice little niche for itself inside Chase Field, home of the Arizona Diamondbacks. There are an additional dozen or so restaurants scattered about the Valley, so the popular burger and beer chain has become hard to miss. It will be even harder to escape around Tucson now that the first Cold Beer & Cheeseburgers restaurant is opening on Monday.
Tucked away in the ever-growing Oro Valley neighborhood, the 7315 North Oracle Road (Suite 141) location will be the perfect destination for both residents on the west side of Tucson and those in Oro Valley. After all, sometimes you just don’t want to drive downtown and deal with all the traffic (not to mention parking). This is right at the intersection of Oracle and Ina, so it will be easier to get to, no matter where you’re coming from.
If you haven’t been to one of the Phoenix-area locations, the restaurant offers everything from breakfast burritos to burgers, cocktails, and just about everything else you might crave. Of course, the burgers are what put the restaurant on the map (aside from the cold beer, of course). All burgers start with a half pound of beef and are accompanied with house-made chips, although you can substitute the chips for fries, tots, sweet tots, onion rings, or a side salad.
The All American Burger is your standard burger with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickle. The Jucy Lucy (Juicy Lucy is actually a popular burger chain in Peru) comes with a beef pattery stuffed with cheddar jack cheese, and topped with lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles, the Ring of Fire is topped with pepper jack, buffalo sauce, jalapenos, spicy may, and onion rings, and the Hangover is topped with jack cheese, sugar cured bacon, caramelized onions, grilled tomatoes, and a fried egg.
