Do you have a child who loves dressing up as a favorite superhero? Maybe they dream of being Wonder Woman or running around the house in their Spiderman costume. Perhaps it isn’t just your children who like to dress up, but you have a thing for cosplay and love taking advantage of any opportunity you have to act out as a favorite character from movies, television shows, or comic books. If this sounds like you, or anyone in your family, the upcoming Family Fun Action & Adventure Festival in metro Phoenix will be the perfect opportunity for you.
Taking place on Saturday, September 30 between 10 AM and 2 PM, the Family Fun Action & Adventure Festival is a free event for the entire family. Taking place at the Arizona Boardwalk (9500 East Via de Venture) in Scottsdale, there are plenty of games, activities, and food to take in during the morning and afternoon.
Visiting children will be able to take pictures with their favorite characters, as well as ride the various attractions set up around the boardwalk. There will be a bounce house on site, plus plenty of vendors selling food and collectibles. And with DJ Flo at center stage, there will be music and plenty of activities for adults to enjoy as well.
The event is free and you can just show up if you like. However, if you would like to register ahead of time, you will be entered into a prize drawing raffle (additional raffle tickets can be purchased at the event). Some of the prizes the raffle will be giving away include family four packs of tickets to the UFO Experience, Odysea Aquarium, and Butterfly Wonderland. $50 gift cards to Melting Pot and Target will also be raffled away as well.
There will be a zipline on site for both children and adults. While there is no height requirement to go on the ride, participants must weigh between 45 and 220 pounds, otherwise, they will not meet the safety requirements.
This is the fourth annual rendition of the Family Fun Action & Adventure Festival and every year it has grown larger. Organized by Family Fun AZ, the organization also has several other activities currently in the works, with the Third Annual Family Fun Halloween Bash taking place next month, and then the Fifth Annual Family Fun Harvest Festival in November. Stay tuned for additional information regarding these added festivals taking place.
