Local Phoenix Chicken Wing Joint Opens Second Location

Sometimes a restaurant’s success hinges as much on its name as it does the food it sells. Sure, the quality of the food is what keeps customers coming back, but often it is the name that pulls hungry visitors through the door. These names can be outlandish and even cringy-inducing, but in the name of restaurant marketing, it’s whatever works. One particular restaurant, which opened not long ago back in October of 2022, is opening a second location in metro Phoenix. Serving up all kinds of chicken wings and flavorful goodness, the new location will be primed and ready to go for the upcoming college football and NFL seasons.

It is hard to forget a name like Ghett Yo Wings. If it sounds familiar, it is because it is a spin-off restaurant from the original Ghett Yo Taco. And, as the name suggests, you’re going to find all the finger-licking sauces and seasonings you could ever want when walking through the door. Gone are the days of chicken wing shortages (hopefully), so whether you are craving a dozen or two wings for yourself, or you want to stock up for an upcoming party, there’s an order option for you.

When ordering chicken wings, it is all about the sauces. At Ghett Yo Wings, the sauces are broken down into signature sauces, buffalo and BBQ sauces, and dry rubs. The signature sauces include Teriyaki, Italian Stallion, Holy Trinity, Cuban Crisis, Mardi Gras, Rasta Man, Happy Ending, and Mango Haboobenero. Buffalo & BBQ sauces include Medium Buffalo, Heartburn, Hot Buffalo, Mild Buffalo, Chipotle BBQ, and Southern Bourbon BBQ Sauce. As for the dry rubs, you can order Cajun, Lemon Pepper, Salt and Vinegar, and Smokey Bacon.

The sauces can be added to grilled, boneless, breaded, smoked, or naked chicken wings. You can also add sauces to cauliflower wings. Hungry for something on top of wings? Appetizers at Ghett Yo Wings include Mozzarella Stixs, Jalapeno Poppers, Fried Raviolis, Fried Mushrooms, Fried Zucchini, Potato Wedges, French Fries, Buffalo Chicken Fries, Onion Rings, Fried Corn Bites, plus several burgers, and even fish and chips.

Technically part of San Tan Valley, the new location is just east of Queen’s Creek. Tucked into the shopping center at the intersection of Ironwood and East Ocotillo Road (where you’ll find STamps Auto Tire Pros and LA Fitness, the restaurant’s address is 40975 North Ironwood Drive. It is open seven days a week from 10:30 AM until 12 AM.
