Lean back, unbuckle the belt, and let the belly breathe. It’s the white flag of defeat for anyone who has visited an all-you-can-eat buffet. You did your best, but the food just kept coming. You ate more than you probably should have, and perhaps you even charged right through feeling comfortable. Now, like a Thanksgiving dinner aftermath, you want to lean back, let your body work on digesting, and maybe take a nice nap. At one new metro Phoenix restaurant, there aren’t beds available for napping, but you will be able to take advantage of the all-you-can-eat offering.
Originally out of California, GEN Korean BBQ House is the perfect option when you want to eat, and eat, and eat. You also don’t need to deal with sliding out of your chair in order to make your way to a crowded food display, protected by sneeze guards and watching attendants. At GEN Korean BBQ House, everything is brought to you. In fact, you are able to cook your own meats and other goodies. This is a nice feature as it does help slow you down. We’ve all been there when we don’t realize just how much we’ve eaten until we’re one or two plates past the point of no return.
The restaurant has expanded outward from California, making it eventually to Las Vegas metro, and now to Phoenix metro. The first restaurant in Arizona opened in Tempe not long ago, and now the second location, which officially opened on June 1, is serving customers at 1852 West Chandler Blvd in Chandler.
Some of the meats will come out pre-prepared, while other meats you can heat and cook yourself. Additional toppings, sauces, and dips, will accompany the meat, so you can cook everything up the way you like it. This is much more than your traditional American all-you-can-eat location (looking at you, Golden Coral), as it allows you and your guests to have fun preparing the food while catering the flavors to fit exactly what you are hungry for.
If you have a hankering for some all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ, cooked just the way you like it because you are the one heating up the meat, GEN Korean BBQ House is open and ready to serve you. So stop by Monday through Thursday, from 11:30 AM until 10:30 PM, on Friday or Saturday from 11:30 AM until 11:30 PM, or on Sunday, from 11:30 AM until 11:00 PM.
