No matter how many birthdays you’ve had, everyone loves, from time to time, to act like a kid again. Somewhere along the line, we’re all told to grow up, to put those toys down, to “get a job”, and to do everything else respectable adults did before us. And yet, there is that urge to revert back to our younger selves and really shake free of the shackles of adulthood. Dave & Busters, the large gaming and restaurant chain, allows us to do exactly that. And now, if you live in metro Phoenix, there is a new location now open and serving the public.
Tucked away inside the Queen Creek Marketplace, Dave & Buster’s has officially opened its fourth Phoenix-area destination (official address is 21000 South Ellsworth Loop Road). This way, you may be able to stay closer to home and skip the drive across town if you’re interested in swinging by the new destination.
If you haven’t been to Dave & Buster’s before, it’s basically a Chuck-E-Cheese but for adults (and children, as well). It is packed with all kinds of video games, ranging from some arcade games you might have spent hours on in the mall while your mom and sister shopped for school clothes, all the way up to new, state-of-the-art displays that put any kind of home video game system you have to shame.
Of course, Dave & Buster’s is also a restaurant, serving everything from burgers to wings, not to mention a selection of cocktails, beer, wine, and just about any other drink you need to wet your whistle and help you cut a rug on Dance Dance Revolution. All of the sauces are house-made at Dave & Buster’s, not to mention there are both vegetarian and gluten-free options, so you don’t need to avoid going (or eating) when your friends decide it’s a game night. The massive space also wants to be your go-to spot for the big game, thanks to its massive 40-foot TV screen.
The new location is now open and ready for you to cut back and let loose. You can stop by Sunday through Thursday from 11 AM until midnight, and Friday and Saturday from 11 AM until 1 AM. If you are heading out, you might want to consider signing up for the Slam Dunk Deal currently going on. For $29.99, you receive $20 worth of gaming credits, plus your choice of an entree right from the “Watch Menu.” You can use the Slam Dunk Deal immediately, or pocket it and use it later.
