Stopping off for a quick cup of coffee has never been easier here in Tucson. If you’re a coffee lover, you know it’s all about the beans and how they are roasted. Different chains and independently owned joints around town all offer something special, so whether you get straight to the point with black coffee, or you prefer all the bells and whistles, if you have a discerning palette you’ll want to find a coffee shop with beans that match the taste you’re looking for. And if you’re a fan of one of the fastest-growing coffee chains in Arizona, you will have a brand new option to stop by.
Black Rock Coffee Bar has officially owned its fourth location right here in the Old Pueblo. The new shop, located at 6393 East Grant Road (at the intersection of Wilmot and East Grant), is offering all your Black Rock Coffee Bar favorites. And if you don’t have a favorite? Don’t worry, because at this location only guests will be gifted complimentary 16-ounce beverages on opening day (Friday, October 14). Not able to make it to opening day? Not to worry, because there will be specials offered throughout the coming week. This makes it the perfect opportunity to stop by, try out new favorites and experiment with some of the specialty beverages on the menu as well.
The specials for the coming week include BOGO, 3x loyalty points, free mug day, $2 flavored fuel day, 5x loyalty points, free t-shirt day, and Taste for $2.
While this is the fourth location in Tucson, there are now 27 in the entire state (with the majority of these scattered throughout metro Phoenix). The coffee chain first opened its doors in Portland, Oregon back in 2008. Over the nearly 15 years in business the chain has spread throughout much of the Pacific Northwest and, more recently, has started to push east.
Autumn is a big time for coffee drinkers. The weather is finally starting to cool down around Tucson, and it also represents pumpkin spice and other seasonal favorites. Black Rock Coffee Bar is offering a handful of specialty drinks. This includes a Salted Caramel Chai, Candied Cranberry Fuel, Caramel Apple Smoothie, and Pumpkin Blondie (which is a take on the Caramel Blonde, which uses caramel white mocha).
Not in the mood for a seasonal coffee? Not a problem, as you’ll find a host of specialty coffees, including fan favorites Caramel Truffle, Blackout (hazelnut mocha), Irish Coffee, Mexican Mocha (with hints of vanilla, almond, and cinnamon), plus the Jackhammer (vanilla mocha with an extra double shot), and then the I.V. (Irish Cream, vanilla breve, with six shots).
