Popular Pizza Chain Opening New Location in Town

Metro Phoenix is no stranger to the import of pizza restaurants from around the country. Styles from California, Detroit, New York, and Chicago have all found their way into the Valley. This trend looks to only continue, as a popular Chicago-based pizza restaurant has recently announced it will be opening another destination in the heart of Arizona. 

The Village At Prasda has managed to keep itself in the news by putting out press releases every few weeks in order to update locals on new businesses moving into the upcoming indoor/outdoor planned mega mall and community. In the most recent press release, the Village At Prasda announced the addition of two new restaurants that will be serving customers upon opening in the coming months. One of these locations is Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria. 

Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria hails from the greater Chicago area, although it also has restaurants in neighboring states, including Wisconsin and Indiana. However, it also has seven locations in Arizona, all of which are located around metro Phoenix. This includes restaurants in Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Scottsdale, Glendale, and two in Phoenix. 

Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria has roots dating back to Chicago in the 1940s when Lou Malnati started working in a local deep dish pizzeria restaurant. Eventually, he went on to open his very first restaurant in the north Chicago suburb of Lincolnwood. Over the years, the restaurant expanded, and now there are nearly 80 Chicagoland locations.

The Village at Prasda is opening this fall and is located at Loop 303 and Waddell Road in Surprise. The 8th location of Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria will feature a similar menu to the other seven locations. As one would expect, the chain is best known for its Chicago-style pizza. Guests can order from one of the many pre-designed pizzas, or they can build their own pizza from scratch with their favorite toppings. Every pizza is made using vine-ripened plum tomatoes from California, cheese from Wisconsin, plus a unique sausage blend made specifically by Lou Malnati’s, so there is no duplicating the taste. 

Guests will also find a range of other options on the menu. This includes a number of unique appetizers, including the all-new Burrata Marinara cheese appetizer, which is a large bowl of massive mozzarella chunks served floating in marinara sauce, complete with seasoning and paired with large, toasted garlic bread slices. All of this and more will be available at the all-new location in the Village at Prasda.
