There are a number of fun cook personalities on television these days. One, however, might be better known for his look, and for eating at other restaurants than for preparing his own food. And now, the personality is launching his latest restaurant right in the heart of Phoenix.
Guy Fieri, who can be seen on Food Network rocking his signature bleached-blonde hair, sunglasses, and classic convertible while visiting restaurants around the country, is bringing his personal style to downtown Phoenix. In fact, the new restaurant is called DTPHX Kitchen + Bar, an abbreviation for downtown Phoenix.
The announcement for Guy Fieri’s DTPHX came out late last year as it was originally supposed to open up alongside the start of the 2022 MLB season. However, some delays did hit, but now, the restaurant, which is located next door to Chase Stadium and inside the 22,300-square-foot Caesars Sportsbook, is ready to serve customers.
The new official launch of the restaurant is scheduled for June 21 of next week, but it is currently open and serving customers from a select menu today. So if you and the family are planning on heading out to catch a game, or if you’re simply interested in checking out the new restaurant, now is an excellent time to do so. Guy is also famous for stopping by his restaurants as they kick-off, so it might be possible to snag a photo with the owner himself (although no guarantees, as he is a busy guy).
The menu will feature a number of Guy’s signature dishes, as well as several local favorites. Some of the shareables guests will likely find included on the menu includes Trash Can Nachos, which is made up of corn tortilla chips, house-smoked pork, melted cheese, sour cream, black beans, jalapenos, cilantro, pico de gallo, and chipotle BBQ sauce. Dynamite Shrimp is another favorite, which is bacon-wrapped jumbo shrimp, finished off with a Thai sweet chili sauce and served on shredded cabbage.
Other menu items include the Bacon Mac ‘N’ Cheeseburger, The Original Ringer Burger (which is topped with onion rings, Guy’s signature bourbon brown sugar BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, donkey sauce, and topped on a garlic-buttered brioche bun). There’s also the Prime Time American Kobe Burger, Motley Que Pulled Pork Sandwich, American Royal Ribs, and the Tatted-Up Turkey Burger, which is a ground turkey burger topped with poblanos, pepper jack cheese, gouda cheese, ancho bacon, donkey sauce, a sweet pepper red onion jam, as well as the classic lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle.
