There has been a considerable amount of restaurant movement in the Valley over the last several months. Restaurants, especially popular chains from Texas and California, have made the shift to metro Phoenix and even down into Tucson. Culver's is one midwestern chain that has opened a handful of locations in Arizona, making it one of the few locations in metro Phoenix that gives residents the ability to munch down on cheese curds and frozen custard

Culver’s is a popular burger chain based out of Wisconsin. For snowbirds and other transplants who have made the trek to Arizona, either for the winter months or to live year-round, there is often the desire to enjoy some cheese curds that taste like back home. And now, with the food truck making a pitstop in Phoenix, it is possible to not only grab another basket of cheese curds, but take a few pics and win some swag, all at the same time.

Culver’s has not officially announced the opening of a new restaurant in Phoenix. However, in order to spread the word of the restaurant, and to even gauge interest in new possible territories to expand, Culver’s has crafted a food truck that will tour the country, making stops in various cities and events. Currently, that food truck has its sights set on Phoenix.

The first planned stop for the Culver’s food truck will be at the Phoenix Zoo on Friday, May 20, from 10 AM until 4 PM. There will be other attractions on hand to go with the food truck, including a dairy cow that is taking part in the tour and an 80-pound cheese sculpture as well. Culver’s will also have several games with available prizes going on during this, and every other subsequent stop it makes.

As of right now, the Phoenix stop on Friday is the only scheduled stop within the state of Arizona. After it hits Phoenix it will head east to Tampa, Florida. However, the tour is open to recommendations for stops. If you want to nominate another event taking place in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, or one of the surrounding cities in order to bring the Culver’s food truck back, you can visit the “From Wisconsin With Love” Food Truck Tour page on the Culver’s website and then click the “Nominate Your City” option. The truck has already proven to be especially popular with other stops it has made throughout the United States.
