A popular Vietnamese restaurant has officially opened its second location in metro Phoenix, giving lovers of the authentic Southeast Asian cuisine another option for dining both inside the restaurant, and carrying out.
Rice Paper’s original location is tucked off at 2241 North 7th Street in Phoenix. It has managed to grow a rather large fanbase, despite haven’t absolutely no online presence (it lacks both a website and any kind of social media accounts). Word of mouth has helped spread the word about the authentic Vietnamese restaurant. It’s become so popular that management decided to open a second location, this time in Scottsdale.
The new Scottsdale location is at the intersection of Shea and Scottsdale Road. The menu will remain mostly the same, although guests might find one or two tweaks that are not available at the Phoenix destination. The menu does feature an assortment of Vietnamese foods, including banh mi, which are Vietnamese sandwiches (including a grilled chicken, braised pork, spicy tempura shrimp, and grilled shrimp option). There are nearly a dozen pho soups, which is fantastic for anyone who loves the broth and noodle-based soup offering, and house specials include Shaking Beef Bo Luc Lac, Braised Pork, Lemongrass Chicken, and Crispy Rice in a Hot Skillet.
For those individuals who can’t get enough spring rolls, Rice Paper says its Scottsdale location has the largest fresh spring roll bar in the state (although this information was difficult to authenticate). Some of the spring roll options include pork, filet mignon, chicken, shrimp, firecracker shrimp, tuna, “Bruce Lee” roll, and others (there are over two dozen different spring rolls to select from).
The restaurant is a cocktail bar as well, so guests can enjoy a number of classic mixed drinks, as well as several house specialties.
The new Scottsdale location of Rice Paper will share similar hours of operation as its Phoenix counterpart. In Scottsdale, it is open seven days a week, from 11 AM until 9 PM (in Phoenix, the restaurant closes at 3 PM on Saturday and Sunday).
Rice Paper is located at 7366 East Shea Blvd. Guests can stop in and enjoy the ambiance while sipping on a cocktail, or they can order food for takeout or delivery. The restaurant does offer delivery through any of the major delivery applications. Guests can also put in takeout orders by calling the restaurant directly at 480-410-6881. The full menu is available on Yelp to help make ordering easier.
