Even for the sunshine seen throughout the year in Scottsdale and the rest of metro Phoenix, Hawaii is an incredible destination to escape to at nearly any point of the year. And while you might not be able to make the flight out to Hawaii, you’ll be able to enjoy a tasty beverage coming over from the islands.
Wow Wow Hawaiian Lemonade is a take on the fresh juice and beverages available throughout the island state. It is a craft lemonade business that sprouted in Hawaii and has been attracting both locals and visitors thanks to the assortment of fresh and unique flavors. Everything from ginger, pineapple, berries, and of course lemons, are used to make the fresh juice on the spot.
The beverage became so popular that visitors wanted to bring the taste back home with them, so Wow Wow Hawaiian Lemonade started offering franchising opportunities. And in the blink of an eye, the entire state of Arizona has been sold out of all franchising rights, with several coming to metro Phoenix.
The first location is set to open in Scottsdale’s Old Town before the end of 2022. Should the location prove successful, there are plans to then spin off the gourmet lemonade business to neighboring Chandler and Gilbert.
Angela Schofield is the franchise holder for metro Phoenix, and while she calls the area home, she’s known about Wow Wow for some time. She grew up in Hawaii and has since relocated with her husband, O’Brien Schofield, who had a career in the NFL.
Wow Wow Hawaiian Lemonade isn’t just about tasty, fresh beverages. It also sells several freshly made foods, including their Island Berry Grain Bowl, an almond berry flatbread sandwich, plus several smoothie and coffee options. So if you’re looking for a location that is free of fatty foods and packed with sodium, this will be a welcome addition to the metro Phoenix restaurant lineup.
The restaurant does what it can to improve sustainability. Plastic cups make up a considerable amount of trash, and when not recycled, the plastic will linger in landfills for tens of thousands of years. That is why guests can take advantage of a reusable mason jar offered by Wow Wow, and then receive discounts on future purchases when bringing the jar back.
Currently, Wow Wow has ten restaurants (which they refer to as stands) across the country, although that will quickly increase in number over the coming years.
