If you are a burger lover then you are in heaven this week. For the second time in as many days, a new burger joint has opened up right here in Tucson. Earlier in the week, Little Love Burger opened up downtown, and now Thunder Bacon Burger Co. Is joining it.

Thunder Bacon Burger Co. Is located at 621 North 4th Avenue. Unlike Little Love Burger, will doesn’t just specialize in burgers, but a host of quick bites and comfort food, Thunder Bacon Burger, with head chef Lindon Reilly, will focus specifically on burgers.

Lindon, or “Lindy” (as he’s known around town), isn’t new to the world of burgers here in Tucson. He helped open up Lindy’s on 4th, before splitting from the rest of ownership (he no longer has any connection with Lindy’s).

This new burger concept restaurant will offer a variety of diner-style burgers, many of which are inspired by the old burger drive-ins found peppered throughout Los Angeles and the Southwest.

There are a handful of burgers you can order, each of which brings something slightly different to the table. There’s the more traditional “Thunder Classic,” which is a cheeseburger with lettuce, pickles, and, of course, bacon. Then there’s the Big Kahuna Burger, which features pineapple, soaked in rum, and then grilled to perfection, before being combined with pickles, bacon, and Pepper Jack cheese. On the menu, there’s everything from a double bacon burger to a spicy 520 burger, a mushroom burger, and even a cream cheeseburger.

While you won’t find vegan options at Thunder Bacon Burger Co. (for that you’ll need to head over to the new Little Love Burger, which will have a handful of vegan and vegetarian options), there are plenty of sides to enjoy. You can opt for traditional fries, although sweet potato fries and tater tots will also be available. In fact, you’ll be fully loaded up with your sides, as Thunder Bacon Burger will offer up a full half-pound of fried goodness with every burger order.

If you’re looking at stopping by and grabbing a burger, or you just want a mountain of fries, Thunder Bacon Burger Co. Will be open Tuesday through Thursday, 11 AM until 9 PM, the hours expand on Friday and Saturday to 11 AM until 10 PM, and then on Sunday, you can grab a burger from 11 AM until 5 PM. As of now though the burger joint will be closed on Mondays.
