Eegee’s has been quietly celebrating its 50th anniversary throughout the year. While it hasn’t gone to excessive lengths to promote its 50 years of being one of Tucson’s favorite sandwich and frozen beverage destinations, if you’ve stopped by in recent months you may have noticed some special offers and new menu items. That trend will continue this October, as eegee’s is crafting very special sweet treats to help you maximize your spooky Halloween spirit.
One of the most creative menu items is only going to be around for a short time, so if you’re an eegee’s fan, you’ll want to make your way to the 2510 East Speedway location between 7 and 9 PM on Saturday, October 16.
Why? The staff is going to give patrons “the creeps” during any and all orders. What exactly are they delivering? Eegee’s has been rather vague with their descriptions, but you can expect it to be a fun time, and the perfect opportunity to break up what usually is a rather straightforward drive-through order.
This is also a great activity for the kids, as the haunted drive-through will be offering out free kids eegees. Just let them know when pulling through that you have kids in the car and the staff will whip up some eegees for your kids.
The exclusive Saturday evening activities are only going down at the East Speedway location, so don’t try to head out to one of the other locations here in Tucson and expect to be given the spooks.
But maybe you can’t make it out to eegee’s during this time of your Saturday. Nor a problem with that either, as the chain restaurant is offering other Halloween treats. This includes the limited-time Scary Berry frozen eegee. Eegee’s has been releasing several special edition beverages over the course of the year thus far, and the Halloween release is no different. Of course, it also won’t stop there, as you will see other limited edition releases coming during the upcoming holiday season as well.
Scary Berry not your cup of tea? If you’d like to satisfy your frozen sweet craving while also helping to give back to a good cause, order yourself a raspberry lemonade. With every purchase of the raspberry lemonade eegee, the company will be making a donation to the University of Arizona Cancer Center to help support cancer research. All eegee's restaurants will offer this opportunity through the end of October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
