There’s nothing like the energy experienced at a home Arizona Wildcats game. Whether you’re a football lover, enjoy taking in an elite basketball game, or you simply like to go for the people around you and the experience, the University of Arizona Wildcats’ live sporting events truly help bring the greater Tucson community together. If you’re a fan and would like to make some money while at the games, there is an opportunity for you to do all of that, all while working in one of the more exclusive areas of the stadiums.

The Arizona Sands Club is a club that promotes all things U of A, as well as putting on special events for members of the club and community. For fans of the home football games but who would like a more intimate seating experience, there is a private clubhouse for Arizona Sands Club members. For those interested, there are now openings for working as a clubhouse staff member. There aren’t many job opportunities for working inside the stadium, and most of those jobs require picking up the trash of tens of thousands of fans or mingling with the swarms of ticket holders, both of which can become exhausting (and hot during the early season games). With these particular job opportunities, you’ll spend much of your time within the luxury air-conditioned booth.

Some of the current openings include traditional restaurant positions, including cooks, bussers, dishwashers, suite servers, hosts, runners, and servers. These are available for part-time and seasonal employment. However, if you’re looking for full-time positions you can take advantage of one of these jobs as well as work as part of the catering staff. This is a position that allows you to rub elbows with some of the more prominent individuals within the city, all while being enthralled with the excitement of a home game.

With the season right around the corner, both the stadium and the Arizona Sands Club will be looking to fill their needs quickly. To do this you can stop by the Arizona Sands Club location at 565 North Cherry Avenue. Bring your resume and any letters of recommendation as positions will be offered on the spot for the right candidates. What’s good about this is you’ll know exactly what the incentives and payments are before taking a position, which makes it easier to determine whether this is the right job for you.

If you haven’t heard of the Arizona Sands Club that’s okay. It’s a new club and community here in Tucson. The organization started just last year, and in the height of the pandemic, they likely didn’t receive the kind of exposure desired. However, with that said, there are now 1,100 members of the club, which was created to help celebrate and collaborate new ideas for the city of Tucson and the University of Arizona. Almost all club members are either residents of Tucson, went to U of A, or both, so there is a deep love for the city and the university. The organization also puts on several other events during the week, including special Friday and Saturday night cocktail hours/music series, prime rib nights, plus kids' day activities. The organization also does what it can to raise money for local charities, such as the Arizona Make-A-Wish Foundation, to which the club just donated over $3,000. So whether you want to learn more about the organization, or you’re interested in landing a job while being in the center of football Saturdays, stop by the 545 North Cherry Avenue (5th Floor) club location.
