(Florence, AZ) – If you are like thousands of Arizona residents right now, you might be looking for a job.
Whether you have experience in education or not, there are multiple job openings in the Florence Unified School District that need to be filled right away.
The district will be holding a job fair on Tuesday, May 3. Officials will be interviewing for certified and classified positions. Some of the roles district officials are looking to fill for the 2022-2023 school year include elementary teaching positions for grades K-5, middle school and high school teaching positions in Math, Science, and English, preschool & K-12 Special Education teaching positions, Speech Language Pathologists and Occupational Therapists, and K-12 elective course teaching positions in art, music, and physical education.
They are also interviewing for positions that need to be filled immediately, including social workers, counselors, paraprofessionals, bus drivers, custodial staff, support staff, and substitute teachers.
Florence Unified School District is one of the largest public-school districts in Pinal County with three high schools, eight K-8 schools, alterative and online schools as well as Building Blocks Daycare and Preschool which serves children from birth through 5-years-old.
The district prides itself on the ideas they integrate technology into the education their students receive during day-to-day learning. Students as young as kindergartners use technology such as tablets in the classroom, while students in grades 3-8 use laptops in the classroom for several topics.
High school students also have the option to take part in the International Baccalaureate Program at Florence High School and the S.T.E.M. Academy at Poston Butte High School, which can help students to earn college credits while in high school.
The job fair is an in-person job fair, with face-to-face on-site discussions and interviews. There will also be virtual interviews available if you’d prefer. The fair will be held at Poston Butte High School from 4 to 7 p.m. located at 32375 N Gantzel Road in San Tan Valley.
Officials are suggesting that those interested register ahead of time for either an in-person or virtual interview. You can find a QR code on Facebook at @FlorenceUSD as well as online at www.fusdaz.com. They are also welcoming walk-ins, so it is not required to register online, but it is recommended.
