Pinal county parents of young children, or parents-to-be, are invited to attend an essential series of early childhood parenting workshops being held for residents.

The workshops are sponsored by Shining Stars Learning Center and Communiversity at Queen Creek and are open to the public in the coming weeks. Each training session will be two hours long and held from 5 to 7 p.m. The schedule for the upcoming workshops is:

· March 24 – Infant/Toddler Development

· April 21 – Kindergarten Readiness

· May 19 – Health and Safety

· June 23 – Community Resources and Services

Everyone who attends these workshops will receive important parenting information and get specialized training and certificates upon completion.

It is $20 to participate in each workshop. The fee covers materials used in the class and child services if needed. Scholarships are available for parents unable to pay.

Childcare is a separate facility, the Shining Stars Learning Center at 21805 South Ellsworth Road, Suite B101 in Queen Creek.

The workshops occur at Communiversity at Queen Creek — right across the street from Shining Stars Learning Center — 21740 South Ellsworth Road, Queen Creek.
