Protecting Your Digital Identity: Cybersecurity Awareness Month
October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, which is a good time to take a look at what you are doing to protect your digital personal data. According to Chris Kearney, CIO with TruWest Credit Union, almost 18,000 imposter scams were reported making up a third of all consumer fraud reports in Arizona. The most common cybersecurity crimes start with a phone call, text, or email. One of the best ways to protect yourself from becoming a victim of a cybercrime is to fortify yourself with multi-factor authentication and creating complex passwords.
