Potluck for Vail Social Community is Ready

VAIL, CO - The next Vail Social community potluck will be held on Monday, September 20. Reservations can be made for free online at at 8 a.m., table bookings will be available.

The event provides a laid-back yet joyful atmosphere in appreciation of the Vail community, drawing on the format of the 2019 Vail Social.

Table hosts are in charge of preserving and organizing their tables (each host is restricted to three), which covers everything from inviting guests to managing the potluck meal. Reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis until the event is sold out.

This year, prizes will be awarded to excellent tables, including best costumes, finest spread, and more. Stay tuned for additional details.

The Vail Social 2021 will take place rain or shine on the International Bridge in Vail Village. The event will be arranged in close consultation with public health professionals to ensure the safety of the area.

The committee will provide:

  • For groups of up to eight persons, a table and chairs are required.
  • As a bonus, 8 sets of recyclable bamboo cutlery are supplied.
  • As a favor, tokens for beer and wine are provided.
  • Water (bring reusable bottles)
  • Wagons are used to convey picnic goods from the parking lot.
  • Stations for recycling and zero-waste

Table hosts are asked to arrange:

  • Children are welcome to join the guests who will fill an 8-person table.
  • Food and non-alcoholic beverages are available.
  • Plates, bowls, cups, and napkins that are compostable or reusable
  • Utensils for serving
  • Table decor (optional)
