Watson Lake in Prescott Arizona

This reservoir was formed in the early 1900s when the Chino Valley Irrigation District built a dam on Granite Creek. The city of Prescott then purchased the reservoir in 1997 to keep and use as recreational land. This park has a field for sports, playground, bathrooms and lake for paddle boarding / kayaking and fishing. There are also trails and saw people rock climbing. You are not able to swim in the lake and once you see the water you will not want to swim in it anyway! The rock formations were amazing and so happy we took a trip from Cottonwood to paddle board here!
