This is a great RV Park just 45mins from Pensacola Beach. Not many amenities but they did have a shower house, laundry and a dog park. You can tell quite a few of the RV's are long term people but everyone was super friendly and the grounds were kept clean. Close to restaurants and grocery stores.

Check out this drive thru review of the gorgeous state park in Mandeville, Louisiana. New Orleans was just a short 45min drive over Lake Pontchartrain Causeway.

The park had a few playgrounds, bath & laundry houses and a dump on site. There were different levels of RV sites and some had partial hook ups where others had none. We stayed for 2 weeks and loved the space that our site had!

This is an RV park in Columbus, Texas. It is about an hour from Houston. The Park just barely opened up 100 new spots that all have 50amp. They have a few different sections of sites, depending on what you are looking for. The laundry and bathhouses are kept clean as are the grounds. We stayed 2 weeks and had a great time walking daily on the trails that surrounded the park.

Small little RV park in Aransas Pass. It was not in the prettiest of neighborhoods but the park itself was great. Felt safe and clean and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. It was a 45 minute drive from Port Aransas just over the free ferry boat.

The Palms RV Park

South Padre Island, TX

This is an RV Park located on the Southernmost part of South Padre Island in Texas. There is a ton of RV spots and just a short walk from the beach. We spent the whole month of December on the island and had such a great time. 
The park is ran by Cameron County and it is sometimes quite hard to get a hold of someone to reserve/cancel or ask questions. 

Isla Blanca Park

This aquarium was a great way to spend a weekday morning! Not too busy and plenty for the kids to look at and learn. The dolphin show was great and the kids really enjoyed the touch pools too!

Picacho, AZ

Picacho Peak State Park is located between Casa Grande and Tucson in Arizona. It was only $30 per night and was a great campground filled with tall saguaro cactus. There were multiple loops and each spot was nice and distanced from the next. They did not have water available because of the drought but they did have electric hookups and dump on site. It is a pretty small park but there were a few trails. They did also have a few bath/shower houses. We had great cell service and we would definitely visit again!

Sedona is just a quick drive outside Cottonwood, Arizona. There are some awesome hikes in this area. We visited Slide Rock State Park but unfortunately it was too cold to get in. I imagine it gets busy in the summer! 
We also did a Safari Jeep tour and did some off roading. Our dog was able to ride along with the cost of a child ticket. My son loved this because he got to ride a monster truck! We had "Doc" as our tour guide and he was super sweet and knowledgable about the area.

Here is the scoop on the Verde Valley TT park in Cottonwood, AZ. We stayed a little over 2 weeks during the month of November. We first found a spot in the H section. There are only 30amp spots in this section. The cell service in this area was extremely poor and the wifi you could purchase in the park was not great in this section. The spots were extremely close together, roads were small and had lots of overgrown bushes. We were only in this site for a few days and then moved up to M section to a 50amp spot. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. They do charge per night for 50amp. Section M was amazing compared to section H. We had a ton of room, wide roads, great views and perfect cell service! The park had 2 fenced dog parks which was great for Thor to run around. They did have a heated pool and a hot tub as well. The grounds were kept clean and people were friendly. They did have 2 community centers and a few bathroom/shower houses.

New Mexico State

Okay guys..... So far White Sands National Park is by far our favorite! Just 45 minutes outside of Las Cruces, New Mexico and we loved it so much we had to go twice. There was so much to do for the kids and the scenery was too gorgeous not to get some pictures done with my camera. Plus dogs are welcome too!

The white gypsum sand is unlike anything I have seen/felt. The closet would be sand at the beach but not quite the same. Highly suggest visiting the park during sunset!

White Sands National Park

This National Park is split between two different areas, the East and the West District in Tucson, AZ. In the eastern Rincon Mountain District, Cactus Forest Drive is a an 8 mile loop that has a few stops for trails and picnic areas. It looked like this park is popular for bicyclists as there were quite a few while we were there. We only got out for a short walk and as you see, dogs are allowed at this park.

Saguaro National Park

This was a cool little monument in Verde Valley just outside Cottonwood AZ. Dogs are welcome so that was super convenient. There is a small loop trail that takes you through the Tuzigoot pueblo and another half mile trail down to the marsh.

Prescott, AZ

This reservoir was formed in the early 1900s when the Chino Valley Irrigation District built a dam on Granite Creek. The city of Prescott then purchased the reservoir in 1997 to keep and use as recreational land. This park has a field for sports, playground, bathrooms and lake for paddle boarding / kayaking and fishing. There are also trails and saw people rock climbing. You are not able to swim in the lake and once you see the water you will not want to swim in it anyway! 

The rock formations were amazing and so happy we took a trip from Cottonwood to paddle board here!

Watson Lake in Prescott Arizona

On one of our travel days from Kingman to Cottonwood Arizona we saw that we would be passing by a wildlife animal park called Bearizona. We made a quick stop and were so happy we did. They have both a drive and walk thru area to view bears, wolves, goats, bison and more! The drive thru area was big enough that we completed it the first time with our RV attached. They had a good sized parking lot and we were able to unhitch the trailer for a second go around. You are allowed to pass through as many times as you want as long as you do not exit the park. They have food trucks, gift shops and animal shows prior to heading into the walk thru part. It was such a cool experience for the kids to be that close to the bears and it was not too expensive!

This trail connects to a few other trails but the one we did was a 1.8 mile loop. My suggestion is to start early to avoid crowds and heat. Take a lot of water! Once you get down in between rocks there is some shade. This hike was done by our 100lb dog and our 2yr old. Highly Recommend!

Fire Wave / Seven Wonders Loop - Valley Of Fire State Park

We stayed at this RV Resort, part of Sun RV,  for a little over a month and there was always something to do. The park is huge and would get pretty busy on weekends but since it was so big it never seemed over crowded. They had an amazing pool and 3 hot tubs. There were multiple playgrounds and dog parks throughout the grounds. This park has RV sites, tent sites, rentable airstreams, covered wagons and even cabins! 

The resort is just outside of Rocky Mountain National Park and only about 2hrs from Denver. The staff was so friendly and huge shout out to Sandy and Justin for their kindness! We cannot wait to go back!

We decided to visit Zion National Park during a weekday to avoid some of the crowds. Dogs are not allowed on most trails so we had to leave Thor at home. We only spent a couple hours in the park and did one trail but it was still a good time. While we were there they did not require shuttle tickets and we had little to no wait to get on the shuttle each time. Must wear masks indoors and while on the shuttle.

Zion National Park

This is a first come first serve campground in the middle of gorgeous red rocks. There are quite a few sites with hook ups as well for only $10 more per night. Many sites are big rig friendly and even has some pull thru sites. It is $25 per night and that includes your daily fee for the park as well. Watch out for wildlife, rams frequently hang out around this campground. The only downside for us was there was little to no cell service.

Saint George, UT

This has got to be one of the greatest parks in the St. George Area. There is a playground, Splash pad, mini zip line and train. Plenty of fun for all ages!

Fun For Kids at This All Abilities Park - Thunder Junction

Hurricane, UT

Nice little reservoir located in Hurricane, Utah. There is RV camping available as well as watercraft rentals. We enjoyed the beach with our family and were lucky that no one else was there on the Friday we went. Dogs are allowed as well!
