To any dog owner, their dog going missing is one of the most terrifying things. Not knowing where to look, being afraid that the worst has happened, or just feeling hopeless - if you own a pet you know the love that goes into that animal. For this lucky family, it turns out that their hopelessness turned to hope, albeit twelve years later.

Michelle adopted Zoey and her sister 12 years ago from a pound, however, after about six months Zoey mysteriously went missing. They went to the store for about twenty minutes, came home, and Zoey was just gone. Her owner looked for her but she was never found. That is, until this week when the San Joaquin County Sheriff responded to a call about an old dog who wasn't doing very well on some rural land.

When they picked Zoey up they scanned her for a microchip and to their surprise, Michelle's number came up and she hadn't changed it in 12 years! In just a few hours, the Sheriff brought Zoey to Michelle who is excited to get her healthy and feeling her best self so that she can live out the next few years of her life in lavish excellence.

Zoey's sister is still alive and well, living with Michelle in her home. Michelle only hopes that she can provide Zoey with the life that she deserves and the one that was set out for her at the time of her adoption.
