In a touching video shared by Unity Grove Elementry School in Atlanta, we get to see a gracious act of kindness, as this school surprised their custodian with a car so that he no longer had to walk to work every day.
Chris is the head custodian at Unity Grove Elementary School in Atlanta, some may think of a custodian as the man they walked by in school but Chris is a loved member of Unity Grove Elementry and a valuable employee.
In a video posted to Facebook by the school, two people are seen leading Chris to a car and then put the keys in his hand.
"Today was one of those days that makes you smile for hours," a spokesperson for the school wrote on Facebook.
"Through the generosity of our staff, we have been able to bless our head custodian Mr. Chris in his time of need. In the past few months, Ms. Combs and Ms. MacDonald have orchestrated collection for funds to help him find housing and utility payments."
"There is a God," Chris says with his hands extended in the air in the sweet and kind video posted to Facebook.
"I never would have dreamt of something like this," he said. "This is mind-blowing to me."
The school said the staff didn't know at the time that they happened to purchase his favorite type of car. It's almost as if God guided them to Chris's dream car.
