Emergency crews from the Santa Rosa Fire Department responded to a second alarm structure fire at a 3-story apartment complex located at 1146 4th Street near College Avenue.

The fire, which was dispatched at 11:20 a.m., led to a significant deployment of resources.

Santa Rosa Fire Emergency Management worked in coordination with the Red Cross to assist the displaced residents. The fire, now under control, prompted an evaluation of 6 units within the complex for potential smoke, fire, and water damage.

The incident, which saw one bystander treated for smoke inhalation, fortunately resulted in no other reported injuries.

In a subsequent update, the Santa Rosa Fire Department reported that the fire had displaced 27 residents from 9 units on the 2nd and 3rd floors.

The displacement is attributed to a combination of fire damage, water damage, and compromised electrical service in the attic above the fire unit of origin.

The Red Cross is actively assisting those affected by providing essential support during this challenging time.
