Amber Alert Issued for Missing 7-Year-Old in Maryland

An Amber Alert was issued in Maryland for Ariana Lockett, a 7-year-old girl last seen in Pikesville, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

According to Baltimore County police, Ariana is Black, 3 feet 3 inches tall, weighs 45 pounds and has black braided hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink coat and purple leggings. Police said a photo is pending.

Authorities are searching for a 2013 gray Honda Accord with Maryland temporary license plates T0925692.

NCMEC said the girl was last seen around 10:41 p.m. Sunday in the area of the 8200 block of Liberty Road in Pikesville. She is believed to be with an unknown Black man who was wearing all black clothing.

UPDATE (1 a.m.) -- Ariana has been located, according to Baltimore County police.

The community breathed a collective sigh of relief as authorities announced the news that Ariana Lockett, the 7-year-old girl who was the subject of an Amber Alert in Maryland, has been located.

Details about where she was found and her condition were not immediately available, but Baltimore County police did confirm that she has been located.

The Amber Alert was issued earlier in the day on Sunday after Ariana was last seen in the area of the 8200 block of Liberty Road in Pikesville. Authorities believed she was with an unknown Black man who was wearing all black clothing.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and Baltimore County police released a description of Ariana and the vehicle that they were searching for, a 2013 gray Honda Accord with Maryland temporary license plates T0925692.

The community rallied together to share the alert on social media and keep a lookout for the missing girl.

Thankfully, Ariana has been located and reunited with her family. The investigation into her disappearance is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact Baltimore County police.
