Hollywood filmmaker Quentin Tarantino is now the proud owner of two Los Angeles movie theatres.
Quentin revealed earlier this week on the Armchair Expert podcast that he has purchased the historic Vista Theater on Sunset Boulevard. This Vista theater was closed last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
We all are delighted after hearing this news. This historic Vista Theatre will probably open up around Christmas time. It is Tarantinos' second theater, the other being the New Beverly that he purchased in 2007.
The New Beverly is a revival theater where Tarantino mostly shows classic or notable older movies, often from his collection on film, not via digital projection. It was also closed during the COVID-19 pandemic but reopened last month.
But Unlike New Beverly, Vista will show new releases, according to the director. It will not be a revival house. It will also showcase new movies that come out where they give you a good film print. It will show older films, but it will be like where you can hold a fortnight engagement.
