ST LOUIS, MO—As a parent, knowing that there is an organization working hard to help working families survive and help kids grow up and succeed can make an enormous difference in the way you feel.

Community Resource Center at New Heights is ready to take on the challenge. In an array of core initiatives and programs, staff, volunteers, and partners throughout St. Louis City, St. Charles County and St. Louis County, Poplar Bluff, Mountain View, Kansas City, and Pevely, MO serve up food for those in need and bring them love and support.

The Forks of Flavor model has been adjusted so that families can receive high-quality meals in this time of crisis.

Families in need can receive free food boxes from 27 food distribution sites through the Forks of Flavor initiative. No income verification or residency proof is required.

There are food distribution sites spread throughout the city, where participants can pick up free boxes of fresh and frozen food. Check out the Center's Facebook page for a complete list of daily food pick-up locations and times.

During the meeting, participants can also learn more about the resources provided by New Heights Community Resource Center by connecting with volunteers on the frontline.

"We believe that everyone needs access to fresh food and healthy ingredients, but particularly our youth who should have nutritious meals to keep their minds and bodies healthy," said Connie Bobo, Executive Director.

"We are making a real effort to remove those obstacles and roadblocks that can prevent our future leaders from fulfilling their potential through our youth initiative programs such as nutrition education, career coaching, college prep, and enriched learning experiences."

Programs at New Heights Community Resource Center receive financial support from the US Department of Agriculture, TechSoup Global, Flourish St. Louis, Deaconess Foundation, St. Louis Community Foundation, and 4imprint and they are always on the lookout for new volunteers to join their ranks.
